LIVING IN A WORLD OF BLUE SMOKE AND MIRRORS

We have a government that is clearly dysfunctional. We are fighting a war on terrorism on several fronts. The economy is in the tank. The irresponsible leadership in this nation plan to spend us into oblivion. We are being fed phony numbers by the administration on everything from unemployment to heath care to the war and what is the big topic of the day with full time lefties? You guessed it, Sarah Palin writing notes on her hand.

Now I understand that intellectually corrupt lefties like Andrea Mitchell and Presidential spokesman Robert “The Family Guy” Gibbs are jumping on this. After all, why shouldn’t they jump on it? No one watches Mitchell anymore or takes her seriously and no one pays much attention to Gibbs’ buffoonery. Gibbs making a fool of himself has become common place and watching Mitchell teeter on the edge of irrelevance is also nothing new.

So, why this is a big story? Well it isn’t a big story unless you are a wacko lefty that still blames Nixon, Reagan, Bush I, Bush II, organized religion, space aliens, global warming and the tooth fairy for everything from original sin to why their socks don’t match. I am waiting for these pillars of intellectual curiosity to start blaming Reggie Bush for the decline of western civilization because they think he is related to George W.

You know these folks, they are the folks who don’t know they don’t know. They live in the past and have no ability to rationally discuss an issue.

They use snappy come backs like “Well, Reagan did this …” or “Well Bush did that …” Usually they screech this in a high pitched near hysterical tone.

They are ready to confront on any meaningless and ridiculous point. They don’t see a half full or have empty glass, they don’t see the glass at all.

They are blinded buy their ignorance and they prove that ignorance is truly bliss.

They cannot tolerate opinions that differ from their opinions. They try to score imaginary political “I got ya” points.

They think they are master debaters and they are, if you give debating points for incoherence and the inability to make a concise point.

They don’t have the intellectual discipline to think critically, nor the intellectual integrity to open their mind to anything that doesn’t strictly conform to their narrow and limited view of the world. They believe what they believe and they never let facts interfere with their idiocy.

They also believe that if you disagree with them that you are stupid or evil. Of course this is a page from the liberal and progressive play book, the strategy is simple, degrade, lie, misrepresent the truth, or attempt ridicule anyone or anything that the does not fall in line with the philosophy of the left, that is “the end justifies the means crowd.”

You may ask, “OK, but who are they?

Well, they are the people who believe ideology is more important than people.

They believe that the Constitution is outdated.

They believe in free speech, unless you disagree with them.

They believe in a free press, as long it is a liberal press.

They believe in freedom of assembly as long the assembled are promoting their agenda.

They believe that most Americans are stupid and misguided.

They are elitist. They tend to be arrogant.

They believe that MSNBC, the Huffington Post, the Daily Kos are legitimate news sources.

They can’t comprehend why no one listened to Air America.

They also believe that former Gov. Palin is the dumbest woman in the world and certainly not as intelligent as the President.

They may be right. If Governor Palin runs for president she would be at a distinct disadvantage, she would campaign only in fifty states, instead the fifty-seven states President Obama thought he campaigned in during the 2008 election. Maybe President Obama should start writing notes on his hand.
