Brave New World is one of our favorites because it describes the incremental loss of rights we are experiencing in the United States right now with frightening accuracy.

Let us consider that Aldus Huxley was a hippie in the US around 1968 (not quite sure about that date, but it is close at the very least). Our country was not like it is now, economy wise, however, I believe the one thing he got absolutely correct is our work ethic--work as little as possible, play as much as we can, not to mention how merchandise driven we are. The fundamental question now is...Are We Headed For The Same "Fate" As The "Brave New World?"
